  • Object to certain processing of your personal information;
  • Request deletion or destruction of personal information where permitted;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • Object to certain direct marketing communications; and
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

We may need to verify your identity before processing an access, correction or deletion request.


11. Direct Marketing

Where required by POPIA, we will obtain the necessary consent before sending unsolicited electronic direct marketing communications.

Where you are an existing customer, we may communicate with you regarding our own similar products or services where permitted by law.

You can opt out of marketing communications at any time. Once an opt-out request has been processed, we will take reasonable steps to stop sending the relevant marketing communications.


12. Children’s Personal Information

Our website and services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the necessary authorisation or another lawful basis permitted under POPIA.

If we become aware that children’s personal information has been collected unlawfully or inadvertently, we will take appropriate steps to delete or otherwise deal with that information in accordance with applicable law.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

15. PAIA and Access to Information

The Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (“PAIA”) provides procedures through which qualifying persons may request access to certain records.

Where Redlined Media is required to maintain a PAIA Manual or make other PAIA information available, requests for access to records will be handled in accordance with applicable PAIA and POPIA requirements.
